Ltest and Texis version

Post by josmani »

When I run ltest on our database the Texis version that is displayed is not the same as the actual Texis.

ltest show:

Texis Version 03.01.1423 Semaphore: 13598745(1) Usable Locks 2000 Time: 15:57:47.8

texis -version:
Texis Web Script (Vortex) Copyright (c) 1996-2012 Thunderstone - EPI, Inc.
Commercial Version 6.01.1342652989 20120718 (i686-unknown-linux2.4.9-64-32)

Is this normal or there is some misconfiguration with Texis installation?

Also, can you please tell me what does the number in brackets after table name signify?

Many thanks.

That is normal. It is actually the version number of the locks structure, so it is mislabeled. That has been corrected in newer versions.

The number in brackets after the table name is a reference count of number of processes accessing the table. If processes have died without closing properly the numbers may be higher than expected.
