Appliance update: texisScripts-22.0.0, texis-7.06.15401..., applianceman-22.0.0

Post by Kai »

Several new appliance updates are now available: texisScripts-22.0.0, texis-7.06.15401..., and applianceman-22.0.0. texisScripts-22.0.0 provides the following features:

* New Date Bias settings added, allowing age of documents to be a rank factor when sorting by relevance rank. This allows older documents to become less relevant (lower ranked in results) as they age. The importance of date (relative to other factors) can be altered, as well as the timescale itself. For example, a daily-news profile might want date bias to age with a timeframe of days, while a document archive might best be served with aging over several years.

* Certain groups of settings are now hidden, if they only apply when another setting has a given value. E.g. Results Authorization settings are hidden until Results Authorization is activated via choosing an Authorization Method. This helps reduce the clutter of irrelevant/unused settings.

* The Dataload API can now partially update an existing URL's data: fields not specified in the request are left unchanged. This can be used to just update the meta data for a URL, without changing (nor having to specify) the Body, for example.

* A daily or weekly Rewalk Schedule can now be specified to an exact minute, offering more granularity for e.g. staggering walk starts of multiple profiles

The texisScripts-22.0.0 update also provides some fixes and other enhancements:

* Fixed Walk Delay not allowing decimal seconds

* Depth in site weighted properly relative to other weight factors now (will not cause rank to exceed 100%)

* Added the ability to restrict the range of dates shown in query log reports

* Fixed Couldn't find setting info in walk log when launching a walk via Watch URL

* Avoid spurious slightly non-zero ranks when ordering does not involve rank

The texis-7.06.15401... update provides the following fixes:

* Some Outlook messages (e.g. templates without a sender email) were improperly processed, resulting in junk and/or missing text; fixed

* Handle dates with just a year, e.g. 2018, for easier Group By binning by year

The applianceman-22.0.0 update is a documentation update; more information on Date Bias is included.

These updates are available via the System -> System Setup -> Update Software menu.
