Re-indexing with -k expressions

Post by Thunderstone »

If I index specifying a bunch of -k expressions to define words, do those
settings persist over later invocations of gw? Does it use the same
settings when it does the automatic index after fetching new pages, or
should I include the -k expressions on every call to gw?

Rewalk uses the previous settings, since it doesn't take options?

Thanks,

No options automatically carry over unless you use -recall or -rewalk.
The database itself will remember the index settings until you use -wipe,
or -unindex. Using -rewalk will recall the options used the last time you
ran gw.

If you're running multiple gw commands to build the database, and want
to use rewalk later, it would be best to supply the -k options every time.
