Hi,
We installed the newest verion of Texis recently. Ever since we had the chkindex automatically.
Mark helped us out by asking us to update texis.cnf.
Related to this, we have a problem.
1. We were deleting/adding/updating records to a table.
2. the Check index started to run automatically.
3. we were also running a full reindex.
4. we probably did a monitor -k after the cnf change.
5. Now, eventhough the indexes are there, the searching on even a single record is VERY SLOW.
Is there something we can do tell texis that the indexes exist now like updating stats or something?
Is re-indexing the only option? It takes a long time as the data is around 40GB or so
TIA
