Indexing WordPerfect files

Does Webinator 4.2.8 anytotx plug-in parse WordPerfect format files? Our installation of Webinator hangs when it encounters large (>1000 pages) WordPerfect files, but it indexes PDF and MS Word files OK.

Yes, it does. I can't imagine any reason to hang when processing wordperfect files. Try the latest dowalk and webinatoradmin scripts from the Webinator examples page, http://www.thunderstone.com/texis/site/ ... ample.html

Do you have the url for an example file that's problematic?

I'm able to process that file with that version without problem. Are you sure wpd files are the problem? Can you process that file by hand? (put it on the same machine as webinator, then from the command line run
anytotx -mtitle -fother "Plenary Session Eleven.wpd"

Try setting threads to 1 to see if that makes any difference.

I got anytotx to index the Wordperfect files. I had to add an entry for the Wordperfect format into the formats.rule file.
