Will Webinator give you the number of pages it didn't index, and why?
Since we are using the free version I would like to know how many pdf
and word processing pages it skipped. If I could do this ... maybe I
can estimate how large the index would be if we purchased the
commercial version with the plugins.

gw will not report the number of unvisited pages. About all you can do
is turn verbosity up to 7 (-v7) to see gw's thinking for each url, but
that's a lot of stuff to wade through.
You might do a test run to allow pdf's (-fpdf), even though they won't
be processed correctly, to get the count.
