Post by astrid.grossboetzl »

every day the texis service stops at the same time an we get in our internet page, where we includes the webinator script the following error-message:
"Error: 000 License Violation Max Hits"
after this error it is not possible to restart the service.

That means that you have had more hits against the product than you are licensed for. You can check with "texis -license" to make sure that you have the appropriate license installed, and not for example a more limited free default one.

You can contact sales through the contact us link at left to arrange a larger license. Please include the DR number and license serial number.

when i check it with "texis -license" i get the following entries:
"highest hits a day: 25148"
"maximum hits a day: 25000"
so we have a license for 25000 hits PER DAY. can you tell me what these entries are means. i cannot find any documentation.
also i cannot unterstand, why the highest hits are not set to null, when the hits are per day!

The "maximum hits a day" line is your licensed number, and the "highest hits a day" is the most hits that have been seen in a day. A hit is generally one invocation of the texis cgi program, so a search, crawl, or admin operation.

You can't reset the highest hits a day. The current hits a day automatically resets daily, and the texis -license output should also show the levels for several preceding days.
