Service Unavailable Win 2003

Post by information10 »

After trying all the fixes that we could that were related to this problem, we still get a "Service Unavailable" message when we try to browse our website after installing Webinator. Scripts and executables are enabled, the texis.exe and dlls have been allowed. But still no page views. We can, however, view our index.asp page on the website, but it is the only one.

Any ideas as how to get it to run?

The ISAPI filter Texis.exe is installed in IIS. The website and the cgi-bin virtual directory has scripts and executables permissions. there's no 403 or 405 message pages or any other message, just "Service Unavailable".

This is the second win 2003 server we've tried it on with the exact same results. Everythings seemed to install just fine.

Thanks for the help.

Our problem doesn't appear to be similar to the thread you mentioned.

Try removing the ISAPI filter from IIS.

The filter shouldn't have been on the default web site, it is a global filter. Instead of "Default Web Site", get the properties of the folder above it, "Web Sites", and remove the "TexisISAPI" entry from that list.

Be sure to restart IIS so the configuration change can take effect.

What URL are trying to access Webinator with?
