Adding company logo to search results page

I am using the basic script the came with the install. However I will like to add my company's departments logos to the results page. Idealy I will like to have a seperate page for each category. But will settle for multiple linked logos on the result page. Can someone direct me where to begin?

The bit about separate pages and linked logos isn't quite clear but use the "Top HTML" and "Bottom HTML" in the search settings to customize the look of the page.
