index and search foreign languages?

I need to be able to index and search different languages (english, french, german, russian, arabic, etc.).

1. What languages can Texis index and search
2. What do I need to do to do that?

I am assuming that if you want to search for a word in a foreign language, you need to enter it in that language, so if it is in arabic, you would put in the arabic text just as it was indexed.

Help please.

The default settings should handle most or all single byte character set languages. Are you having a problem?

I am not having a problem now but we are going to need it and I wanted to see if we needed to do anything special.
