Webinator for NT

Originally, both the NT and Mac versions were supposed to be out in "early
May"... Any idea when the Mac version is going to make it out there? :)

We recently put an NT version of the Webinator on our site, which several
people have downloaded. Thanks to their comments we have made a couple
of changes to the NT version so it should work better.

The two principal changes are that it should no longer be neccessary to
add the .exe extension when running gw. The other is that webinator.exe
should work better. If you had problems either running either gw or
webinator under NT you should refetch the distribution and re-install.

We appreciate everybody's comments to date, so keep them coming.

Now that the NT version is out we will be applying more focus to the Mac
version. Even though we have a fair amount of the code ported I am
reluctant to promise a date as I do not want to be bitten by unexpected
features of the Mac. We are working on it, and will announce it as soon
as it is ready.

Hi there,

I tried installing it, and got this error message:

Why is this. Last time I tried, about 1 to 2 weeks ago, I got same message!

Thanks,

We have created a new version of the Webinator for NT to make it compatible
with the WebSite Server. This version will still run correctly under other
servers. The new version is at

ftp.thunderstone.com:/prod/webinator/winnt/ntwebin.zip

This sounds like you have not run gw.exe to create the database and walk the
site.

It's anonymous ftp so you use the name "ftp" as your login id and your email
address as your password.

Gw runs copy to copy the SYSOBJECTS.tbl file, and copy was probably
confused by the space in the 'program files' portion of the path.
You can manually copy the SYSOBJECTS.tbl file from the _master directory
to th db directory.
