I have a profile for search results that I am trying to apply two different "abstract" output styles to. I have currently tried setting up two meta searches of the same profile to try to accomplish my goal.
Currently I have this setup:
MAIN PROFILE
MAIN PROFILE meta search 1
MAIN PROFILE meta search 2
In each of the meta searches' "Search settings", I defined my output that I want for each abstract:
MAIN PROFILE meta search 1
abstract type = query
abstract length = default
MAIN PROFILE meta search 2
abstract type = query
abstract length = 2800 (bytes)
Here's the problem:
When I do my test searches for each one, the settings in the meta searches are completely ignored and only the settings in the MAIN PROFILE "Search settings" are recognized. What can I do to make the meta searches abstract lengths visible to the end user?
My ultimate end result is I am trying to create two results outputs from the same "profile" of search results. One being a small abstract length and the other being a verbose (around 400 words) abstract length. I am creating an .aspx page that will "scrape" Thunderstone's results and output whichever setting the user has chosen (simple or verbose) to the search results page.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
