Our organization uses Webinator for intranet search.
We are currently developing an offline search and browse tool (for a doc pool of ~12'000 pages)to be launched directly from CD, and plan to employ a webserver-on-a-cd (Server2Go, WOS Portable, or Outsite-In) to give the user as close as possible an experience to what he or she has online.
My question is the following (I'm new to Webinator, so thanks for bearing with me): Is there any method/hack that would allow us to run webinator directly from a live-launched (uninstalled!) Apache (ie from CD)? And if no, do you have any recommendations for CD-based search that offer a similar user experience to Webinator?
