Search Problem

Post by bumpies1 »

I just inherited a problem and I'm new to using Texis, so I really know very little about how Texis even works on my website. Had a user submit a URL that she got from a Google search http://search2.discoveringmontana.com/c ... =4617c16a6

My question is, how do I prevent the "search for" word from being prefilled with the word sex?

Search Problem

That sounds like a website somewhere had a link to results from a search for sex, and Google found the link and indexed it.

Adding a robots.txt rule to prevent /cgi-bin/ being crawled by Google would be a good first step. You can edit the search script to change the behaviour of it if you know how you want it to behave. That is the URL that gives match info on a specific result that no longer exists, and the query is pre-filled to allow the user to repeat the search.
