Turn off suffix processing for individual words

I normally would like suffix processing on, but I have a list of words that I would like to to have suffix processed for.

I have the last name "Bandy" that is getting processed to "Band". I would like to turn of suffix processing for just this word. This is similar to turning of equivalence processing with the tilde.

I would like to turn of suffix processing for just the work bandy in the the following phrase"

"Bandy played in Baltimore"

I can turn of equivalence for Bandy:
"~Bandy played in Baltimore"


But is there a way to selectively turn off suffix processing for a single word in a phrase?

Sorry, there's no way to control suffix processing on a term-by-term basis.
