Orphaned items in replication queue

Post by dietric »

I have about 800.000 items in the replication queue intended for a destination profile that does not exist anymore. How can I get rid of those - looks like they're not going to quit on their own...

You should be able to click on the delete link next to them on the replication status page.

What page would that be? The page that is accessed from the Walk Status page by clicking on the "Replication Queue'? There does not seem to be a delete option on that page.

Are there other replication destinations that still exist on the destination server? The delete will show up next to servers that aren't listed as a replication destination.

No, there aren't, and a delete does not show up anywhere.

What about on the sending side. Does the appliance with the large queue still have the destination listed for replication anywhere?

It did at some point, which is most likely the cause of them ending up there in the first place, but I removed it from there to make sure the number of invalid items in the replication queue does not grow anymore.

I did not hear anything back, do you have any other suggestions, or do you want me to open a support ticket?

Which version of the scripts do you have? If the host is no longer listed in the replication settings there will be a delete option next to the count of entries for that server.

You probably have the server, even if not the profile, still listed somewhere in the replication destinations. The delete link will not appear as long as the server still shows up in the destination list.
