We are indexing a web site to profile A which is then replicated to a second profile B, where documents can be searched for by category.

Although the number of hits are the same for profiles A end B, i niced some differences.
- ranking is not the same, there is a difference of several %( (>3%).
- in case there are no results, profile A gives suggestions for alternate searches, profile B does not.

Has the replication process finished? The index and spell check dictionaries aren't updated/created until the data is all replicated. Check the walk status page of the receiving profile to check on index updated.

Make sure the search settings for the receiving profile are configured for spell checking.

I already checked that.

All searchsettings are the same and no walks or indexing were going on a the time.

But was the sender's replication q empty?
And the receiver's walk status indicates an index update occurred after the walk? Was the spell check dictionary created too?

Compare test search on both vs. live search on both.
Maybe you didn't apply settings?
