Sorry if this is an RTFM message. I've spent three days trying to find
an answer on your site, and I don't
believe it is (and still haven't found one!).
(see earlier postings about having multiple domains under one IP
address)
(webinator takes the first domain in my url list and indexes it. All
other
domains get ignored - due to an apparent dns lookup - because the IP
addresses for my other domains are all the same.
This is what my Internet provider has told me:
The http 1.1 protocol allows for multiple virtual hosts on one IP
address.
If webinator does not support this then it does not support the latest
protocol. It should not assume that the same IP address is the same
web site. This is also why older web browsers have problems with
name-based virtual hosts. See the following URL for more information:
http://www.apache.org/docs/vhosts/name-based.html
Your tech support folks to me to look at the texis info; I didn't
see anything relavant in there either, although I looked at every
section.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there any type of work-around?
I have approval to buy the commercial version if I can prove that it
will
work as I promised it would!
