Smaller equivalence file

Post by tboyer »

Hi,

The Equivalence File instructions seem to be designed to supplement the Thunderstone default equivalence file with additional equivalences.

I would rather SUBSTITUTE a much smaller equivalence file. I.e. we would like equivs turned off except for a very limited list that we are creating.

Is that possible?

Thanks,

Tom

Yes. Create your thesaurus as usual. Then use it as the main thesaurus instead of a user thesaurus.

Mark, it's the second part I didn't see in the docs. How do I tell Texis to use it instead of the default thesaurus? Is there an APICP setting I can use to set it?

That's fantastic, thanks. That means we could use totally different thesauruses for different users depending on what they want...
