log files and indexing

Post by Thunderstone »

Two questions:
1. If I start an indexing using the webinator administration page, and I get off line, does the indexing continue?

2. Can I delete the log files? Mine are reeeeealy big right now. Also, how exactily do I delete them?

Thank you
Brian.

Yes, it will continue. It is already a detached process running on
the webserver independant of your client connection.

I assume you're referring to gw.log. Remove it like any other file.
With the rm command on unix or the del command on nt (or with explorer on nt).
Just don't remove it while a gw is running and logging to it.
