How to search all indexes/profiles?

Post by lbneal »

I have read and read but fail to find a way to search all of the some 12+ indexes I have with a single call.

I'm using Webinator 5.1.87-Unix-wo/plugin.

Searching a specific index/profile works fine.

Perhaps I have not read the documentation adequately or correctly?

That's what we call "meta search", a standard feature of our appliance product line. It will also be a part of the soon to be released Webinator 6.

It's also possible for a programmer to modify the Webinator search script to accomplish it. That's beyond the scope of this forum. But basically one would create a new result style that's easily parsed by vortex's <timport> and create a function for performing a search against each profile using <fetch>, collect and parse the results from all profiles, sort, then display.

That is a feature of the Search Appliance, and the soon to be released Webinator 6.

If you are interested in a beta or preview you contact sales through the Contact Us page above to see if there are any opportunities still open.
