Is there a way, after I issue
monitor -k
to prevent the monitor from restarting if someone issues a request to our website afterward. The reason for killing the monitor in the first place is so that I can safely do some maintenance on the files, etc., and to be on the safe side I just don't want anything starting up until all the changes are squared away.
Also, it would be nice to be able to be the *sole* user allowed to successfully issue requests to the website during this temporary maintenance period for testing purposes.
Thanks.
