Appliance updates: texisScripts-14.0.1 and texis-7.03.1436...

Post by Kai »

Two appliance updates are now available: texisScripts-14.0.1 and texis-7.03.1436...

The texisScripts update provides a new Dashboard menu item. This page displays the appliance's current (and recent) resource utilization: disk, RAM, network and overall document usage (relative to license limit) are all shown, as is load average and running tasks. It provides a single place to quickly get appliance status information. The document usage graph bar is also shown on the Profiles page.

In addition, the texisScripts update provides the following fixes:

* PDF and other non-text/HTML document types that contain multi-line meta information (e.g. Subject or Description) may have caused Title or other later meta information to be incorrect, i.e. contain a later meta value (e.g. Linear or Change) instead of the proper one
* Fixed Static Content and Custom Updates for older browsers that present malformed filenames
* Fixed metasearches with profiles that have ampersands in their names
* Added SSL Client Ciphers and SSL Use SNI settings to help work around long-handshake-intolerant HTTPS servers
* Added Robots.txt Agents setting to control what agent(s) crawler respects in robots.txt
* Wildcards (*) and end-of-URL character ($) now supported in robots.txt. Allow rules supported. Most-specific-rule-only (i.e. longest path) now applies

The texis-7.03.1436... update provides the following:

* A search for a leading-wildcard term with a non-alphabetic, non-apostrophe first character in the suffix -- e.g. *.html -- was failing. Partial workaround is to remove those characters (e.g. use *html), though additional undesired hits may be obtained.
* Crawling a URL with double slashes (//) in the path was collapsing them to one, which might have caused problems for some websites (e.g. redirect loop)
* Fixed ABEND fetching pages with frames that contain malformed id attributes
* Upgraded to OpenSSL 1.0.2c for crawls; part of long-handshake-intolerance SSL fix

These updates are available via the System -> System Setup -> Update Software menu item.
