query syntax ?

Post by Thunderstone »

Hello,
When using the query "william w/line friday", I still get a large number of
stray williams that are not on the same line as friday and friday not
with william. How are the results different than a plain and search?
(william and friday).

Do the bottom and top options work in Netscape 3.0? Is their purpose
just to move to the bottom or top of the document? There's no search
term linkage offered?

Webinator expects proximity to be set using the proximity variable.
If you don't change proximity from rank you will still get ranked
hits. When ranking, all occurences of search terms are hilighted.

We haven't tried netscape 3 to see if its handling of relative jumps
has been fixed. Yes, top and bottom are to go to top and bottom of
document. The search terms are linked together such that clicking
on a term will take you to the next matching term.
Alas, netscape has thwarted that behavior. Other browsers do do it.
