Just wondering if there is a timeframe for compiling webibnator under
the COFF file format, instead of the SCO 5 native ELF format so it can
be run on the zillions of "old" SCO boxes out there.

There's an SCO ODT 3 build on ftp.thunderstone.com
in /prod/webinator/scoodt3 . Please see the readme file there.

It was built on OpenServer 5, but with options to make it compatible
with ODT 3. We don't have ODT 3 and would appreciate it if someone using
ODT 3 would be willing to download and try it.
(It's COFF and runs and works on OS 5. Its just a question of whether
it's fully binary compatible with ODT 3.)

Mark Willson, in reply to your message:

Sorry. Just tried it. Not only won't it extract from the tar file on
it's own. I have to make the directories first, then extract it etc
etc. It still doesn't run.

Does a core dump. and returns "Bad System Call"

Would you like me to actually build it on mine from the sources? I'm
running the SCO OpenServer Development System , SCO ODT3 V3.2v4.2,
as well as gcc ?

cheers,
Bob
