Can I index a raw file system ( gw -dwhatever /opt/httpd/htdocs/ ) and append a URL?

index raw file system
Webinator can only index documents served up by a webserver, that is http: URLs. If you want to index content from other sources, such as a local file system you would need to use the full Texis product.

index raw file system
The purpose of Webinator is to index a website(s) the way a user would see it. What's on the raw filesystem rarely represents what the user would see when surfing. There may be assorted files not linked into the site. And there may be various server reliant things like asp, ssi, redirects, etc.
