Our server crashed during a walk. Now I get the following error-message: 000 Corrupt start pointers in KDBF file /path/to/database/html.blb Is necessary to rebuild the database from scratch or is there a way to correct the problem otherwise? Regards,
If you have a full Texis distribution you can use kdbfchk to fix the corruption. If not, you will have to rebuild.
I had the same problem but I thought that the "kdbfchk" command only checked the file to see if there was a problem. I did not know it would fix the file. I thought that you needed to use "copydbf" command to make the fix.
See kdbfchk in the manual. It checks and repairs (optionally). http://www.thunderstone.com/site/texisman/node305.html
