License Violation: Max Hits

Post by info227 »

I know I have the freeware version.

I recently did a "big" walk and it failed,
with the following message: "License Violation: Max Hits".

Now I cannot access the Admin page for dowalk. Gives me the same error. I wanted to be able to go back into the dowalk Admin and reduce the number of URLs being searched so that I'm within the freeware limit - but can't...

How do I start over? I tried reinstalling webinator4, but the message still appears...

Thx,

License Violation: Max Hits

The max hits indicates too many accesses in a 24 hour period, rather than too many URLs crawled. It will reset automatically at the end of the 24 hour period, which is probably when you installed it.

If you left more than one copy of the admin interface running and refreshing on the walk status page for 24 hours you might hit the limit.

Thanks.

Just a suggestion - the admin interface is good,
but the 10 second refresh rate seems a bit extreme.

It would be nice to be able to adjust the refresh rate,
or have it default to 30 - 60 seconds...
