cpdb won't start

I am running
Texis Web Script (Vortex) Copyright (c) 1996-2001 Thunderstone - EPI, Inc.
Commercial Version 4.00.1009519416 of Dec 27, 2001 (i686-unknown-linux2.4.2-64)

on Suse 7.3 Linux. When I run cpdb it just goes back to the prompt and doesn't start. any ideas??

Yes, contact tech support and get an updated version. Some systems had socket issues that have been resolved.
