NT w/Apache

Post by Thunderstone »

I have installed Webinator on NT Server running Apache. I have run the
installation program and used gw to index my site. However, when I try to
access webinator by using:
http://mysite.com/cgi-bin/texis.exe/webinator/search
it just gives me:

Not Found
File does not exist: c:/program files/apachegroup/apache/htdocs/
cgi-bin/texis.exe/webinator/search

(The actual path to my cgi-bin & webinator directory). It appears to be
referencing the hard drive of the computer instead of the aliased web
path. Is this a problem with apache, or am I doing something else
wrong? Thanks for your help.

I solved my problem with it not finding the webinator directory, now
instead I am getting a different error:

Error

002 /webinator/search/: Can't open source file c:\webinator\search: No
such file or directory in the function compilefile

Thanks for your help.

According to the PATH_TRANSLATED (or DOCUMENT_ROOT and PATH_INFO)
environment variables set by the web server, Vortex is expecting the
document tree to be c:\, and thus its installed webinator directory to
be c:\webinator. Did you give c:\ as the root directory of the
document tree when installing Webinator? It must agree with what the
web server thinks is the document root.
