Wrong server id

You might get that error the first time you use webinator after installing full texis. It should not happen if you go in again though. Does it happen again if you go into profile selection?

And, unrelated, it looks like your license did not get installed. On the CD is a file called license.upd . Copy that to /usr/local/morph3 then run
texis -update
In a few moments you should notice that license.upd gets renamed to license.did. You can check your license with
texis -license | more
If that doesn't agree with what it then says on the webserver you have a permission issue (the command line texis and the CGI texis are not running as the same user id).

We have updated teh license file and got past that 'Table options not found' error. But then we are back to the same old problem I explained in message 5.
Walk sttaus is getting abandoned quickly with Wrong server id errors.

I can see the indexing still continuing when I force refresh walk status but webinator behaves like the search is abandoned and queries don't return anything.

Our environment is HP-UX 11.0

We'll have to try to replicate that behavior here on hpux. We haven't seen it before. In the interim try downloading the latest dowalk and webinatoradmin scripts from http://www.thunderstone.com/texis/site/ ... ample.html . Just replace the existing dowalk and webinatoradmin files in the webinator directory (under your document root) with the downloaded versions. Let us know if anything changes.

dowalk and webnatoradmin files are replaced with latest ones, but no change in results.
I can see the indexing still going on but admin thinks walk is abandoned.
Is there any compatibility problems with HP-UX 11.0?
What are our options now? We are scheduled to deply this this week and looks like we are not having a smooth ride. If there is a way to resolve this quickly, please let me know.

Let me summarize the problem we are facing in order to provide you a better understandig.

All texis files (/usr/local/morph3, /opt/HTTPServer/cgi-bin/texis, doc-root/webinator) are owned by same web server account.
setuid is set for texis programs (/opt/HTTPServer/cgi-bin/texis /usr/local/morph3/bin/monitor /usr/local/morph3/bin/rmlocks /usr/local/morph3/bin/gw).

Able to login to Webinatoradmin successfully.

When a profile is created, got (a lot of) 'Wrong server id' error message, though profile got created.

Profile configuratio updates are successful.

Our profile uses a url file and page file.
When a walk is started, it gets abandoned quickly with the following messages followed by current walk status.
Walk continues in the background (forced walk status refresh updates the url fetched info below errors).
Though you can see the walk is continuing, list url, test serch, live search etc. fails.

Given below are outputs of various actins for your reference. Please review this and let me know if there is anything we could do on our end to fix this problem.

FYI, we've finally been able to replicate your problem. We're just trying to figure the exact cause now...

It turns out to be a problem with HPUX shared mem that had not shown up before. There are new dowalk and webinatoradmin scripts on the website which work around the problem.

Any existing Webinator shared mem's might still be a problem. Remove them all with ipcrm. Run "monitor -k" to make sure there are no database monitors running. Run "ipcs -mb" to find the shared mem ID(s). The SEGSZ should be 125668. Use "ipcrm -m ID" to remove each one. Then try the new scripts.

Installed the new files and now able to start walk without errors. Thanks!
But walk is getting abandoned after a while and I have noticed the following errors on the console. (Walk status doesn't specifically mention any errors)

Our line numbers must be out of sync because that message couldn't be from line 843 of the script on www. What is your line 843 of dowalk?

Your disk isn't full is it? Can you tell the process size when that happens (use "top" or "ps -elf" to find process size).

Please ignore the error message in previous message, guess I pulled that form wrong server.
Here's the message from server using the latest version of dowalk and webinatoradmin.

Line 860 is: <sql "create index xrefsurl on refs(Url)"></sql>

There is a lot of free disk space, so that is not an issue. I couldn't get process size.
