Rewalk doesnt run on schedule

Post by Kai »

If the interface says 4.0.1 then you're not running the latest scripts; there was a fix for multiple schedules in 4.0.5. Download the scripts and make sure you copy them to <docroot>/webinator, where <docroot> is your web server's document root. Your admin interface will say Webinator 4.1 if you have the latest scripts.

If the admin interface still says 4.0.1 you're not putting the downloaded scripts into the proper directory. The correct directory will also have dowalk.vtx. Also make sure you name dowalk and webinatoradmin with no extension.

finally the admin interface now says "Webinator 4.0.5-Unix-slurpfix-wo/plugin" i copied the 4.1.1 scripts but the interface gave me warnings that it wont work so i copied the "4.0.5 scripts". but the monitor doesnt seem to run all the schedules. im copying below logs from monitor.log. do i need to make any further changes in the texis.cnf file. I added the following two lines as adviced earlier.

Rewalk doesnt run on schedule

Once you have the new scripts installed you need to unschedule and reschedule all of your walks since the old scripts did not schedule them. Once you do that you can confirm that they are scheduled by going to a shell prompt and running
texis -LS
you should see a separate entry for each scheduled profile.
After the scheduled walk time check the walk status for what happened. You can also check texis -LS again to see if it thinks it ran the walks. If the texis -LS says it ran the walks but the walk status page does not, check your monitor.log and vortex.log for errors.

BTW, the latest 4.0 scripts on the website are 4.0.6 not 4.0.5.

I have the same problem,

When I check the status page it say it hasn't run, On doing Texis -LS it says it has run

Script: C:\Program Files\Thunderstone Software\Webinator\
tor\dowalk/dispatch.txt
Vars: profile=HR what=sched
Schedule: daily at 4
Next run: 2002-08-15 04:00 (in 18h 21m)
Last run: 2002-08-14 04:00 (5h 38m ago) took 2m 7s with exi
First run: 2002-08-13 04:00 (1d 5h ago)
Status: runnable, 2 executions, first last, id 3d579bbe0

checking the Vortex.log there is an error saying

002 Aug 14 04:00:00 can't open C:\WINNT\system32\: no SYSTABLES in the function ddopen
000 Aug 14 04:00:00 Could not connect to . in the function openntexis

The fix in post #7 may work, otherwise download and install the latest full Windows install (it contains a fix for this and other issues).

I've only just updated to V4.1 (in the last couple of days) and have had this problem since then.

Is there a newer version?
