Very slow response to specific query

A multi-word query can be slow sometimes if Proximity is set to other than Page, in Search Settings. The proximity must be resolved with a post-process, not the index, which means that many records may have to be linearly searched. Try changing Proximity to Page.

Just to followup and close this thread, changing the proximity in this case solved our issue.
