The 1 vs. 2 is just an internal thing. There's no real difference. It's only ever compared to 0 so which it is doesn't really matter.
Are your walks showing as "ABANDONED"? or what?
What shows in the walk status when that happens?
Are you sure you put the stopper from 14 in the right place?

In the most recent case it just stopped; no error message and in the end I abandoned it manually. I am pretty sure the stopper was in the right place; however I will run some more tests so we will see.
I'll get back to you if it persists.
Thanks as usual!

If you haven't already, you might try downloading the latest version of dowalk and webinatoradmin from the website
http://www.thunderstone.com/texis/site/ ... ample.html
to see if that makes any difference.

I had to that anyway as my Texis had the old one. I also had to edit it to make it work (you told me what to do; problem with MSIE).
Don't worry about it, as I will run another test and see what happens.

OK, running again over the weekend I had the same problem; the walk simply stopped without any explanation.
Any ideas on what could be causing this? Could it be caused by a temporary interuption of the internet connection, for instance?

You could have Ulimits on CPU time or memory, this would be the most common reason. Connection loss will not generally cause it to quit.

So it's no longer fetching pages, but also does not show "ABANDONED" or "Making new database live" in the walk status page?
Does the admin interface think it is still running (give you the autorefresh countdown on the walk status page)?
What *is* on the walk status report page?
Is there still a background dowalk process running?

Yes, it just stopped without changing status; admin interface continued to refresh and the walk status page just displayed its normal walk in progress screen (list of pages, etc.)
However I have now moved Webinator to a different machine and this problem is not occurring (although another is!)
