restricting search to URL* (e.g. server.com/dir/*)

Post by Thunderstone »

Hello,

I was wondering if it is possible to restrict a search to records that
match some 'URL prefix'?
For example, if I crawl/index:
www.a.com/dirA/
www.b.com/
www.c.com/dirC/

can the webmaster at www.a.com make an HTML form to allow his visitors
to search this index (which has pages from different sites/domains) but
get results only with pages from his server? So that all the search
results would be from www.a.com/dirA/* and would not be from www.c.com
or www.b.com?

Possible?

Thanks,

Otis
