vortex compilation

Post by Thunderstone »

I saw the alternate search scripts listed at
www.thunderstone.com/webinator/example

and wanted to give the lycos script a try. It looks like the
script needs to be compiled into a .vtx file, but I can't
seem to find any instructions on compiling these scripts?

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

John Rutherford

You don't need to compile. It happens automatically the first time
you run the script (or when it's modified).

If you feel compelled to hand compile you can use the texis -C option:
texis -C SCRIPTNAME

The .../htdocs/webinator directory needs to be writable by texis.
(user 501 in your case)
