Directory Indexing

Post by Thunderstone »

I have webinator installed and indexing a server correctly but need to
index some html pages that are
not accessable from hotlinks on the site. They all reside in a
subdirectory of document root. I have tried
the -g option for a single file, but need to do a whole directory
(wildcards?). Thanks in advance for any help.

Enable "directory indexing" in the web server's srm.conf file.
Then point Webinator to the directory in question.

Directory Indexing

I came accross this same problem.

I looked in my server's httpd.conf file and found what I think is this "directory indexing" There are two options standardIndexing and fancyIndexing. Which one should I set the .conf file for? Am I in the right place?

Thanks!!

Either should work fine. You're just telling the server that it's ok to generate hyperlinks to the files in the directory. The appearance is not terribly relevant to Webinator. IMHO "standard" is generally a good way to go when in doubt.
