-s option

I am trying to remove pages from my database using the -s option and
it's not working. The problem may be that the "pages" I want to
eliminate are the default "index of directory"s. The statement that I
am using is:
gw -d/database -s" delete from refs/html where
Url='www.state.la.us/directory-name/'". Thank you for your time.

The SQL statement should not abutt the -s option. Put a space in between.

gw -d/database -s "delete from html where
Url='www.state.la.us/directory-name/'"
gw -d/database -s "delete from refs where
Url='www.state.la.us/directory-name/'"
