Error 002: Not a directory in the function compilefile

Post by Thunderstone »

Sounds like a broken webserver CGI implementation. We know that Netscape
3.6 had that kind of problem. They have since fixed it.

Error 002: Not a directory in the function compilefile

Post by joliva »

Hi! i'm using webinator in a Sun Solaris 2.5 with Netscape 3.6. I got this message:

Texis Web Script (Vortex) Copyright © 1996-2000 Thunderstone - EPI, Inc.
Free Webinator Version 3.0.955383945 of Apr 10, 2000 (sparc-sun-solaris2.5.1)

Error
002 /webinator/newsearch: Can't open source file /data/web/enterprise/minag/cgi-bin/texis.cgi/webinator/newsearch: Not a directory

Is this the same problem?

Sounds like it. Netscape 3.6 does not do CGI correctly. You need to get the patches Netscape made, a newer version of Netscape server, or a different webserver such as apache.
