Webinator 'google'ified?

Post by valery »

Hi,

Can one customize 'search' script behaviour to mimic that of Google search engine? I am talking only about presenting results here. Namely, for every match I want to display as a summary some of the text that actually matched user query and not some random stuff that happened to be first on the page...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Valery.

If you $query as an additional argument to the
function then it will center the text it abstracts around the best match to the query.

(digging up a message from the past)

John, can you explain a bit more? Maybe there is just a typo. Did you mean:

"if you *add* $query as an additional argument" ?

Thanks. :)
