File permissions

Post by Thunderstone »

Is it possible to change the file permissions that are set when gw is run?
I'd like to the have group access to the files and thus need the directories
to be 770 (they are 777 now) and the files to be 660 (they are 600 now).

I'm running the free version of webinator on HPUX 10.20.

Thanks,

Yes, you can change permissions as long as gw and texis are running as the
right user and group to have permissions on the database directory and files.
You can ensure they always run as the same user by making them setuid.

Gw will preserve your permissions unless you do something like -wipe or -rewalk.
