No documents match the query ...

Hi I'm running into a similar problem. I'm going to unistall and start from scratch today. Are there any known issues I should be aware of with the new Webinator 4 and Windows 2000? My problem is that it looks like it's doing a walk fine and gets near the end and hangs. I've tried a couple of times and it always hangs when it looks like it should be almost done. I also notice in the task Manager as it gets near the end the CPU usages goes done (when it was spiked during the fetching process) and the Mem useages keeps going up until it bogs down the server and I have to reboot. I'm going to try again today and see what happens. If I run into more problems, what information would you like me to gather before I respond back to you?
Thanks,
Shawn

Make sure you download and install the lastest dowalk and webinatoradmin scripts from the webinator example scripts page after installing webinator.

When reporting problems include your texis version and release given by texis -version . Amount of memory and free disk space may also be helpful in this case. For webinator issues like this include the "walk status" report.

Hi I'm still having a problem with my walks alway getting 'Abandoned'
It seems to be getting near the end of walking the site, and it starts to suck up all the memory and then 'Abandons' and when I try a live search I get nothing. I was told to download the and install the latest sample scripts which I have done, and still get the same scenario.

Here's my specific Info.

Server OS: Windows 2000
Mem: 256MB

Version of Webinator:
Texis Web Script (Vortex) Copyright (c) 1996-2002 Thunderstone - EPI, Inc.
Commercial Webinator Version 4.00.1017771124 of Apr 2, 2002 (i686-intel-winnt-32)

Walk Status:
Current Profile: default Webinator 4.0.5-Windows-w/plugin
Latest run: ABANDONED

Are there any error messages in the report? What about vortex.log (c:\morph3\texis\vortex.log)? Does the end of the report say anything about creating indexes?

Make sure you have sufficient disk space under C:\Program Files\Thunderstone Software\Webinator/texis/default

Hi,
Vortex log file:
C:\Program Files\Thunderstone Software\Webinator\Texis\vortex.log
is empty. The report does not say anything about creating the indexes. Just what I've indicated above. It always hangs when it seems to be finished fetching and about to start the indexing. Are there any other files you want me to look at?

In the db2 directory the html.tbl size is 21,208KB and the refs.tbl size is 6,544KB, so It looks like it did something.

There is also about 6 Gigs of free space on the C: Drive.

I guess the next step is a full directory listing of C:\Program Files\Thunderstone Software\Webinator/texis/default/db2 so maybe we can see exactly where it was when it stopped.
