missing shared library

I repetitively got this error when installing:

Install dir [ENTER for /usr/local/morph3]:
Checking install dir...Ok
Checking tar file...Ok
Unpacking Webinator files...Ok
Checking for existing version...........*** Failed ***
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Errors indicate a shared library needed by Texis could not be found:
*** /usr/local/morph3/install-tmp/usr/local/morph3/bin/monitor: error while loading shared libraries: libncurses.so.5: cannot load shared object file: No such file or directory ***
This is often caused by incompatible changes between versions of the
OS or C lib, eg. the version Texis was created with and your version.
Install the above missing library from your OS media if possible.
Your Linux version appears to be 2.2.14 Red Hat Linux release 6.2 (Zoot)
You may also be able to FTP the lib from ftp://ftp.thunderstone.com/pub/linux/

I looked for the file libncurses.so.5 on your ftp site, but could only find libncurses.so.4. My question is, where do I find the .5 version, and where do I put it on my box so the installation will see it?

thanks - Jeremy

It looks like you downloaded the version for 2.4 kernels when you have 2.2. The libs used by that version are now on ftp as well, but you would probably be better off downloading the version better matched to your system, Linux 2.2.
