word/pdf problem

Post by anixyz »

We have commercial version of webinator 2.5 with PDF plugin.
For some word/pdf document hits, when we click on the "match info", no content is displayed. Their content is indexed and present in the database though.

Any ideas..

Thanks

View the source of the resulting match info page and look for error messages within HTML comments.

There are no error messages in the HTML Source of resulting match info page.

This is how the info is displayed

Match Context and Document information

So everything is missing, even the url, not just content.
But for some pages there IS data in the match info view?

Has someone modified your search script? You might want to download and try the original search script http://www.thunderstone.com/texis/site/ ... ple/search
Just adjust the "<db =" and "<$defaultdr =" settings for your installation,as described in the script.

Here's a silly question... You didn't do a search, do a rewalk, then click on the match info of the earlier search, did you?

Even some of the html hits have this problem. The "Show parents" link does not show any info for the above hits.

This is displayed when "show parents" is clicked for the above hits...
"No such document id"

The search script has not been modified.

And for your silly question... No,I did not.

Either the script or the database is badly broken (or your browser or proxy is caching things it shouldn't). Is there a url I can visit to try the search?

If might be worth comparing your script to the one on thunderstone's site just to be sure (if you haven't already).

Otherwise you may just need to wipe and rewalk the database.
