When i start a search for the url
http://intranet/ i get the following message.
"Document access unauthorized:
http://intranet/ returned code 401 (Access Denied)"
When i change the url for example to
http://www.salzburg.gv.at/ it works correct.
Everyone has full access to
http://intranet (inetpub/wwwroot).
What's wrong at
http://intranet ????

Eventhough "Everyone" has full access to the directory, is the web server configured to require authentication, or does it allow anonymous access?

The web server allows anonymous access. But we work with a content management system (obtree), which is a isapi-filter. There is no anonymous access to the dll.
Is it possible to run webinator under a specific account?

Running Webinator under a specific account will not make a difference, as it will not pass the credentials through to the webserver. If you allow basic authentication then you can provide a user name and password in the crawl settings.

I tried it with the user in the crawl settings and now it works.
