Are we missing any big changes?

Hi guys,

We're using your 64 bit Solaris flavor of Texis, version 4.00.1019027849. We were wondering; have there been any big changes in the last year which would necessitate upgrading?

Texis is working well for us now, just wondering if there were big changes/fixes in the latest copy.

Oh, and how backwards-compatible would we be if we were to upgrade? For instance, if I copied a db created/indexed on a box with the latest version to a server with the year-old edition, would the database be useable?

Biggest changes since then are JavaScript and automatic cookie support, file:// URLs, support for unpacking archives (ZIPs etc.) and any arbitrary file format in anytotx, some Metamorph search optimizations for hi-frequency and NOT terms, and some simultaneous-process update corruption issues were resolved. There were numerous other minor fixes and enhancments as well; contact tech support if you want details.

The current Texis release is fully back-compatible; there have been no database, lock or index structure changes since your release.
