I am getting the same error consistently when trying to install webinator on Win2k with IIS5 when I try to create my first walk.

"Data space D:\Program Files\Thunderstone Software\Webinator/texis/default could not be created: File exists"

I have checked and rechecked file permissions for the IUSR account and they have been given full access. This install is part of a load balanced server confirguration, the other machine was installed successfully. Is there a limitation to installing on both web servers in this arrangement? What else could be the problem.

Thanks

That worked - but now I doesn't seem like the walk is being working correctly.

When trying to walk all I get is

Whenever a search is performed, there is always no results founds

Sounds like you hit "update" instead of "go".

I actually hit "Update", "Go", and "Update and Go" at different times when trying and retrying to perform the walk...

Hit "Go" or "Update and Go" to perform a walk after entering your base url and adjusting any other settings as desired. It will then take you to the walk status page (which you can also go to at any time from the menu). See http://www.thunderstone.com/texis/site/ ... t+Time+Run

It thinks you hit "Update".
What browser software (brand and version) are you using?

I use Internet Explorer version 6.0 - the same browser I use to administer the other webinator install on the the other half of the load balanced system (which is working fine)

Getting the same message means nothing changed. So probably something crashed. Look in INSTALLDIR/texis/vortex.log to see if there are any correlated messages.

Have you tried the standard microsoft procedure of uninstall webinator and reinstall webinator yet?
