You did not install the license file that came with the software, so it is running with the free license that does not run behind a firewall. Copy the license.upd from your CD to the installation directory (which should contain license.key), and run texis -update.

The free version of Webinator will not run behind a firewall. You can contact our sales department at http://www.thunderstone.com/texis/site/ ... ct_Us.html and they may arrange a time limited trial.

Free Webinator requires direct internet connectivity to ls.thunderstone.com on port 80.

If you're considering purchasing but can't fulfill the above requirement for evaluation please contact sales using the "Contact Us" link on the left.

I have similar errors having downloaded from a URL given to us and then a separate email contained the license key. The question is what do I now have to do with this key?

I presume I have to cut and paste into something.

Help much appreciated.

Message boards are great when you read them, I have cracked my own problem.

After I cut the license key out into license.upd I just had to run INSTALLDIR/texis -update

Problem solved.
