Keeping the Query Logs

Hi,
We need to keep our query logs so we can analyse what users are searching for. As the logs are cleared at each rewalk is there any way around this? I saw in an earlier post a suggestion about copying the logs out before a rewalk and back in afterwards. Is this still the only solution? Is there anyway to switch off the "clearing" of the logs?
