It looks as if either the web server is not configured to treat that
cgi-bin directory as having executables, or the webinator program is
not executable. The "Method not implemented" message comes from the
web-server, and not the Webinator itself.

I have a virtual server with my ISP. They do not allow scripts on their web
server, preferring instead to run a separate script server on which I have
installed webinator and got it to walk some pages.

I have a problem with the search form, it returns:

"Post to ~walker/cgi-bin/webinator not supported"

The page concerned is at http://www.proto-v.com/lon-hom.htm

The Thunderstone logo displays ok from the directory it is in.

Shouldn't it be working fine??

Yours frustratedly

Mark N

P.S. The ISP will not allow me to chown or setuid to the webserver user id
so I have had to make permissions global read and write. Does this have any
effect?

This is an automatic reply. Feel free to send additional
mail, as only this one notice will be generated. The following
is a prerecorded message, sent for jonco

I will be away on holiday from Monday 5th August until Monday 12th August.
I will not be reading mail or checking my voicemail.

This is a bad week as gregw and valmc (Val until Wednesday 7th August) are
also away. In light of this your alternatives are:

craig - security (valmc after 7th August)
davided - networking
sharonm - admin
wendyj - my boss
ukneteng - general networking questions
